WEEPING HEAVEN ~ HAROWOLO ABDUL ROKEEB
"Weeping Heaven"
Darkness is now the apparel of earth,
Sublimely gale saunters around like fallen angel,
With spherical blazing eyes gazing for one to swallow,
Papers and sand glide freely amid the sanctuary of wind,
Children laughed hysterically away the vinegar,
On their dying tongues like the facades of switchblade soldiers.
Then once, it murdered the earth,
With beatings of water and thunders,
In my hideout, cold water runs down my spine,
And for all I travel back to my mother's laps,
For cover from the leprosy hands of thunderstruck,
Legs of Africa meander again,
leaping in the rain with a diatribe to that nature.
Harvest gives birth to bountiful crops,
Hands of harvesters prune and sell the babies,
Some, consume them to their fullest of full,
And I laugh with sorrow,
Why are thee savaged everyday of thy babies?
Why are the harvesters dragging our births?
Why our desires always petered out? Alas! This rain rains fire year by year,
It knocks day by day on every door.
